Prayer – Remembrance Day
God of Peace, Your Son taught us that dying leads us into new life.
On Remembrance day, we remember especially all the courageous men and women who willingly sacrificed their lives in wartime so that our lives today would be full and free. Their bravery brought us liberation and peace. Set free all your people who suffer oppression still in war-torn nations throughout the world today.
We ask this prayer in the name of Jesus whose death brought life to the world.
Amen.
Dear Parents,
LIFE Week 2024
We are thrilled to share the incredible success of our Annual LIFE Week 2024! This event was a true showcase of our vision and mission, providing our students with opportunities to experience life to the full as they embark on their journey of transformation. The week was filled with enriching activities, inspiring moments, and a strong sense of community. We extend our thanks to all parents for their unwavering support in following the LIFE Week schedule and making the week a success for everyone involved.
A Special Visit from Cardinal Peter
This week, we had the immense pleasure of welcoming His Eminence, Cardinal Peter from Nigeria, to our College. His presence brought great joy to our community. Cardinal Peter spoke to our staff about the joy of our vocation, reminding us of the profound impact we have on our students’ lives. He also addressed our students, encouraging them to be children of God and to listen to the moments of joy in their lives, as these are instances of God speaking to them. His visit was truly inspiring and left a lasting impression on all of us.
Car Park Safety Reminder
We would like to remind all parents and caregivers about the importance of safety in our car parks. Recently, there have been incidents that resulted in near misses for members of our community. Ensuring the safety of everyone is our collective priority. We kindly ask all parents to follow our car park procedures diligently. The Kiss n Drive system works effectively when parents use our car parks in a safe and orderly manner. Your cooperation in this matter is greatly appreciated.
Thank you for your continued support and commitment to our College community.
Gospel Challenge
In this week’s Gospel from Mark we are reminded that Jesus knew what was in the hearts of the people. He knew that many were being generous just to impress others. However, when he encountered the widow, he knew she gave all she had as her heart was full and she trusted God.
The Gospel challenge for this week is to use the be inspired by the widow and give generously to others. This is a timely reminder that the Vinnies Christmas appeal is a great opportunity to give to those in need.
Kind regards
Albert Borrello
