At Holy Cross, nurturing positive connections with our community is a continued, core focus.
We understand that building a connected community goes beyond nurturing relationships solely between staff and students. It also entails building strong connections with the wider school community, including families, alumni, local government agencies and other organisations affiliated with the College.
Local Aboriginal Partnerships
Holy Cross recognises and acknowledges a continued connection with the Whadjuk people of the Nyoongar Nation as the Traditional Custodians of the land in which our College stands.

Parent Engagement
Parent engagement is essential to nurturing a vibrant and thriving College community. We recognise that schools and parents work in partnership in preparing a child for their future beyond school; therefore, we seek opportunities throughout the year to engage with our families.
A number of opportunities await parents and caregivers to actively engage in College life, solidifying their essential role within our College community. We encourage our parent community to participate in classroom rosters, attend school events and informational sessions and join us for other special occasions.
At the heart of this effort is our dedicated parents and friends group, the ‘Friends of Holy Cross’. This group plays a pivotal role in orchestrating community events and fundraising endeavours that provide essential support to the College.

Our greater community
Understanding and respecting that our College, staff and students are part of a greater community, we work closely with a range of organisations and causes through social justice and service activities, part of the Catholic Education of Western Australia network of schools and through relationship with the St Helena of the Holy Cross Parish.
