Senior School
Years 10-12
Self-discovery and growth
As students venture into Senior School, their educational pilgrimage takes a transformative turn towards the future.
Encouraged to explore their own paths, students take ownership of their individual learning journeys, supported wholly by our dedicated educators. At this stage, the curriculum is personalised to cater to each student’s needs and interests, equipping them with the skills and knowledge to realise their aspirations – all the while fostering continual discovery and growth.
We aim to empower our students to take control of their future, identify their passions and develop the skills and knowledge they need. Our educators work closely with each student to provide guidance and support as they select courses to help them thrive and reach their full potential. Our extensive co-curricular opportunities further enhance valuable skills and experiences.
Diverse pathways
At Holy Cross, we celebrate the uniqueness of each student and acknowledge their distinct interests, strengths and learning outcomes. To ensure every child receives the right support, we offer diverse pathways for Senior School students, including ATAR, General, Uni-Ready program, and vocational courses such as ONSITE, as well as school-based apprenticeships and traineeships.
In Senior School, our students embark on a remarkable journey of self-discovery and growth, nurtured by a community that values their unique potential and equips them with the tools to embrace life after school with full confidence. It is our hope that we graduate cohorts of students who are prepared and able to make a positive difference, both in their community and the greater world.

Curriculum
Students in Year 10 are required to study the compulsory subjects of English, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences, Science, Health and Physical Education and Religious Education. Students are also able to choose between 2 and 4 elective subjects in the areas of the Arts or Technologies. At this stage of their learning, students are encouraged to take ownership in their own learning journey, considering any prerequisites they may need for Year 11 courses.
In Year 10 students engage in the MyLIFE program to prepare them for their Year 11 and Year 12 learning. The program, unique to Holy Cross College, supports each student’s pathway to their post-secondary school goals, whether that be employment, further study or otherwise. Each year we host a MyLIFE careers expo for students to explore the opportunities available. Following this event, students use the MyLIFE curriculum handbook to explore the subject offerings available to them across the subject areas of Religious Education, English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities and Social Sciences, Health and Physical Education, Technologies, The Arts and Languages.
